Nabasa & Co. Advocates is seeking a Litigation Lawyer to join its team and handle a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Drafting pleadings, applications, submissions, and legal correspondence.
• Conducting legal research and case analysis.
• Appearing before the Magistrates’ Courts and High Court.
• Managing client files, court diaries, and deadlines.
• Supporting partners during hearings, mediations, and negotiations.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Must be an advocate of the High Court of Uganda with a valid practising certificate.
• At least two years of post-qualification experience, supported by a minimum of two practising certificates.
• Strong legal drafting, research, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• High professional integrity and attention to detail.

Added advantage: Experience in commercial, land, employment, or debt-recovery litigation, as well as familiarity with e-filing and court practice directions.
